Dr. Jeannine Jordan is a champion of the organ and its music. She has traveled through the US and the world promoting and sharing organ music through her concerts, church music ministry, workshops and teaching. She is also the founder of Pro-Motion Music—a company celebrating the world of the organ with its concerts, organ and media events, publications and teaching studios.
Jeannine performs extensively as an organ recitalist concertizing throughout the United States and Europe. She has also performed in Bulawayo and Harrare, Zimbabwe with the National Orchestra of Zimbabwe, at the American ambassador’s residence in Columbo, Sri Lanka, and on various concert series in Japan, Australia, New Zealand, and American Samoa.
Jeannine and her media-artist husband, David, also present three unique organ and media events, Bach and Sons, From Sea to Shining Sea, and Around the World in 80 Minutes.. Each performance makes use of not only visuals, but real-time camera projections of Dr. Jordan’s playing. The Jordan’s innovative performances delight the music-lover, educator, historian and organist of any age and make friends for the organ worldwide.
Dr. Jordan’s most recent recordings include: Around the World in 80 Minutes recorded at First Methodist Church in Portland, Oregon; Bach and Sons recorded on historic organs of Germany; The Chorales of Martin Luther recorded on the organs in Wittenberg Lutherstadt, Germany; From Sea to Shining Sea recorded on historic American organs; and O Beautiful for Spacious Skies with David Jordan, keyboardist.
Jeannine is also the author On the Heels of an Organist (Lulu Press), a book of humorous and poignant stories from the world of an organist.
Jeannine has been in church music ministry for over forty years serving congregations in the greater Portland, Oregon area. She has presented music workshops worldwide for the organist and church musician and has been invited as a clinician and conference organist at worship/music conferences around the US.
Dr. Jordan earned a Doctor of Musical Arts degree in organ performance and music history studying with Guy Bovet, and the Master of Music degree in organ performance from the University of Oregon. She also earned a Master of Arts in Teaching degree from the University of Portland and a Bachelor of Music degree in organ performance from Washburn University.
Jeannine is married to David Jordan, musician and media artist. They make their home on the Oregon coast.
