Yumiko Tatsuta

Ms. Yumiko Tatsuta is currently a Graduate Student at the Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University, where she pursues Performer Diploma in Organ Solo Performance with Dr. Janette Fishell.
She earned her Batchelor of Music and Master of Music Degrees in Organ Performance from Tokyo University of the Arts, where she received Ataka Award and Acanthus Award, as one of the most excellent students in Tokyo University of the Arts. In 2012, she was selected to serve as an intern organist in Yokohama Minato Mirai Hall where she constantly had opportunities to perform CB Fisk Organ. From 2014 to 2015, she was an DAAD scholarship (sponsored by German Government) recipient at the Hochschule fuer Musik, Stuttgart, Germany, where she studied as a Graduate Student with Prof. Helmut Deutsch.
Ms. Tatsuta has been performing broadly as an invited recitalist throughout Japan, Europe and the United States.
In April 2016, she had her graduate research on the work of Max Reger published from The Japan Association of Organist.
She has been recently selected to serve as a representative Japanese upcoming Artist (sponsored by Japanese Government, Agency for Cultural Affairs) in the United States from September 2017 to August 2018.
